In the fall of 2008, Pirkka came up with the Youkebox concept when he realized that some of his friends might be exchanging interesting music links on MSN while he was working and being unable to join the sharing of cool videos and favourite music. The idea was to set up a system that would allow a group of friends to program music together and listen to it in a synchronous fashion, despite geographic hurdles and without interrupting their workflow.

Steven Judge
Founding Partner, Business Development
Steve has been promoting and pushing mobile and content services for almost 10 years. His experience lies mostly in the challenging, yet financially rewarding UK market where he has dealt with partners at all levels but with a primary focus on the network operator channels.
Steve has a solid network of contacts in the mobile and content space across Europe and US which he has built up over time and which continues to grow in strength.
Steve takes care of business development for Youkebox and is in control of our commercial partners and investment contracts.

Ilona Hiila
Founding Partner, PR & Marketing
Ilona has years of experience in the alternative music scene as she started to dj at the age of 16. Since then she has hosted her own radio show, worked as a columnist, written for various newspapers and magazines and held a press officer position at Demos Helsinki think thank.
Having a network ranging media, private sector and urban alternative groups, Ilona heads up Youkebox PR and marketing. Besides spreading the word she also aims to introduce Youkebox to new interest groups and users.
